Receiving an RDP Protocol Error (Return Code: 50331656)

Hi,

i received this error message.

I tried to logon to remote server via RDG.
With normal mstsc.exe and rdg i can login fine.

With ASG RD 9.0.5312.1 ( 9.0.5385.0) this is not possible, the same error.

I deleted the connection and the credentials and created new entrys.
still the same error.

OS is Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.14393]

Any idea?

Assign credential to connection problem

Hello,

I need some support

Version : 9.0.5385.0
ASG 2016 Licensed for 1 Year
Database SQL Express

Problem : It seems impossible to assign a credential to a connection.


1/ Connection Properties
CF Screenshot 1101 : Where to assign a credential to a connection ?
On the old versions, this was possible ... there it is not, not displayed !

2/ Folder Edit
We I use the folder "Multi-Edit Connections" trying to assign using this way a credential to connections, it displays me some more settings than the connection properties and I can now find to assign the credentials
However, this doesn't work !


3/ Connection settings
The same regarding the connection settings.
I need to change the SSH port from standard (TCP/22) to a custom value.
No way to find this on the connection properties, forced to used the multi-edit connections on parent folder (not a solution ...)
And even there, when I finally find the setting (that is displayed using this way) : it is never applied

Looks like something is missing ...

Could you please help ?

VMware sync problem

Hello guys,

today in our company we started using ASG Remote Desktop 2016 version: 9.0.5266.1
I tried to sync our VMware enviroment into with success.. Everything was imported successfully
But there is one problem, it has synced it with wrong IPs. On all VMs the first NIC is the CustomerLAN NIC not our ServiceLAN NIC.
It's our standard so i cannot do anything with that. Is there any solution to sync the VM Enviroment so it will "sync" the VMs with the NIC as second on the VM, thats our ServiceLAN. Is there any way to do it?

Hallo Zusammen,

wir haben in unserem Unternehmen momentan noch die Version ASG-Remote Desktop 2012 Version 7.3.4144.0 im Einsatz!
Nun wollen wir auf die aktuellste Version updaten.
Dazu habe ich auf meinem Rechner die Version ASG-Remote Desktop 2016 9.0.5385.0 installiert und unsere Datenbankumgebung konfiguriert.
Jedoch erhalten wir beim Starten folgende Fehlermeldung:

Eine Verbindung zur aktuellen Umgebung konnte nicht hergestellt werden. Bitte wählen Sie eine andere Umgebung aus.


Wenn ich jedoch im Einrichtungsfenster der Datenbankverbindung auf "Verbindung testen" geh, kommt die Meldung:

Verbindungsprüfung erfolgreich
Die angegebene Verbindung konnte erfolgreich hergestellt werden.


Müssen wir hier noch ein Zwischenupdate fahren oder muss evtl. die Datenbank vorab geupdatet werden?

ASG 2012 / mstsc version

Yes, I know it's old.  But I tried to upgrade to ASG 2016 and it installed side-by-side and therefore didn't migrate all of my configuration.  So I am stuck with 2012.

My old dev machine (Windows 10) is dying, so I'm trying to move to another Windows 10 machine.  I was able to export and import configuration to the new machine.

However, ASG 2012 is telling me that RDP doesn't support NLA.  But if I just open mstsc and connect directly, it works.

Secondly, the Components Check tells me the RDP version (10.0.14393) is out of date and lacks all needed features.

On the old machine - same versions all - it allows me to RDP to these servers.  

I've tried all of the regedit hacks that I've seen people post, but so far no good on the new computer.

(1) I'd prefer to upgrade to 2016.  But if it doesn't import the settings then there's no value in that for the work to recreate it all.
(2) If not, then I just need help getting it to RDP to these machines with NLA.

Users can connect to ASG-RD2012 without permission

Hello,

We have a problem on ASG RD2012 (P8).
Our domain users can connect to ASGRD without give permission. How can i fix it ?

What did i change, I haven't idea. But its happened lately.

wir haben immer noch keine Möglichkeit auf Server via ICA Connection zuzugreifen, es kommt immer die Fehlermeldung:

Unknown client error

Wir haben das auch mit dem neuesten Citrix Receiver (Receiver 4.5 for Windows) probiert
Können wir bald mit einer Lösung rechnen, da dies jetzt schon einige Zeit nicht mehr funktioniert?

Cannot login the visionapp 2016

Hi all,

One of my colleagues cannot login the visionapp 2016, here is the error message "Unhandled Exception" see the attachment, we have two database connections, he can login the other one successfully, all other users don't have the issue like him.

Could some support man support this? Thank you in advance!

Hallo,
 
eine kleine Frage habe ich zu den Berechtigungen. Wenn ich die Gruppe Windows Server bei einem Device freischalte wird das bei den Mitgliedern der Gruppe nicht angezeigt, wahrscheinlich weil das Device in einer Anzeigegruppe ist. Wenn ich aber der Anzeigegruppe die Berechtigung Windows Server gebe sind automatisch alle Server der Gruppe für den User zu nutzen. Wie kann ich denn die Gruppen einblenden und nur einzelne Server daraus freigeben?

We are running latest ASG Remote Desktop 2016 and would like to move database, we tried backup+restore, but it seems like user information is not included when done from SQL Management Studio.

How do we get this info copied?

Composing password dynamically

Good morning:
Is there a way to compose the password for connecting to a Unix server dynamically?
For example, our servers use 2 factor authentication for password, one part static (a constant) and the other part a numeric value generated by a program.
would like to set the password to be equal to the constant value joined with the numeric value.
For example, "Constant11223344", where 11223344 was the result of calling a program.
Is it possible right now to do something like this?

We would like to use this product to manage RDP connections while prohibiting the ability to save credentials, possibly by GPO.
Is the product capable of this? If so, is there a document I can refer to?

Bug found in Exort / import ??

We noticed that during the export and import of the complete configuration some settings after the import are missing. After the import, we were missing the settings for the inherited login settings.
The login settings are all available. Only the inherited inheritances had to be entered again.

Shutdown Windows 10 takes long

We have a problem with shutting down Windows 10 machines with ASG-Remote desktop installed on it.
When shutting down after using ASG Remote (and closed the application normaly), shutting down takes almost 2 minutes!
When we shutdown the machine without using ASG it takes 25 sec.

Please help!

Skalierende Schrift bei SSH Connect mit Putty als Client...

Hallo zusammen,

nutze die 2016 P4 Version und in meinen SSH Verbindungen wird die Schrift bei Veränderung der Fenstergröße immer skaliert, war recht nervig ist riesige Schriften auf dem Monitor zu haben. Eigentlich wollte ich mehr Zeichen in die Zeile reinbringen. Im Putty Fenster selber ist alles normal. Kam erst mit der 2016er... Was tun?

ssh - tabnamen auf hostnamen anpassen

Hallo Forum,

ich suche eine Möglichkeit wie ich den Tabnamen einer Verbindung auf den jeweils aktuellen hostnamen mappen kann. 

Hintergrund: ich verwende ssh connections zu einem host als splungserver zu weiteren hosts. Im putty werden diese weiteren hosts in der Titelleiste dann jeweils aktuell dargestellt. Im ASG Remotedesktop 2015 sehe ich immer nur die Verbindung zum Sprungserver.

Gibt es die möglichkeit den Tabnamen aus dem Hostnamen aktualisieren zu lassen? Ich habe hier keine Option gefunden.
