ASGRD over VPN
Hi,
We have much trouble when connecting To the ASGRD 2015 in database mode over a VPN connection.
mostly we can click the connect button but nothing seems to happen.
Also on LAN it still takes about a minute to start the application.
Is there anything we can do t speed this up ?
I've already cleaned out the log files. and reduced the database size from 532MB to 173 MB.
is there a way to preload the connections and credentials or only upload the logs ?

ASG2012 & 2015 weird problem with 4k Monitor
Hello Support-Forum,
I've got a weird problem with my new 4k monitors and ASG2012 and 2015 and Windows7. The monitors have a resolution of 3840x2160 each and I have set the textzoom to 150%. Now the ASG2012 and 2015 show some weird behaviors.
1. Whey I connect to an allready open (but disconnected) rdp-session, the left 66% of the opened session are not clickable. But the session is not dead. I can see the tooltips from the mousecursor, when I move over some elements. The right side (33%) of the screen/session acts normal.
2. When I connect to a session, which was logged off before, everything is fine. And I can use the whole screen/session.
3. I have aranged the ASG window on the right monitor in fullscreenmode. The "Overview"-Tab in the top left corner shows my current sessions, but the icon of every session shows not the session self. The sessionicon shows the right side of my left(!) monitor, the connection list from ASG and a littlebit from the session.
does anyone has ever encountered this issue?

Question regarding display when RDP
Hi,
I have a question for which I cannot find the solution in ASG-RemoteDesktop 2015.

I've tried disabling Font Smoothing, Bitmap Caching, Visual Styles, Smart Sizing... activating Full Mode, High Color 32 bit, fixing the display size... Nothing does the trick
I'm writing a lot of documentation and I don't like to have to use mstsc because it opens many windows...

ASG-RemoteDesktop 2015 - menu bar and icons disappeared
Hi!
Please help me in solving the following problem: I’m using the 2015 version of the ASG-RemoteDesktop. The menu bar, and the icons have disappeared. Altough I can open any connection from the navigation pane, and I can use the find items pane – which is pinned to the main window, but due to the lack of the menu bar I can’t reach any other function of the application.
I wanted to try the SQL or the XML editing method described in 2011 in this forum thread, but I couldn’t find the settings.XML file in this version of the app and the structure of the SQL database has changed as well.
Please help me in solving the following problem: I’m using the 2015 version of the ASG-RemoteDesktop. The menu bar, and the icons have disappeared. ASG 2012 to 2015
I currently have ASG 2012 licensed and working. Can I upgrade to 2015 with the same license or do I need to purchase a 2015 license?

ASG 2012 Error log error
Always when i try to start error log I get this
Error log
An error occured while loding the error log.
And i did try to upgrade to 2015 then í get error because of the error log when im importing error log.
Is there any way to fix this or just delete the error log?

Shared Connections database
Is there a way for multiple ASG users to share the same "connections" list? For example from a common location, without having to export and import every time new changes are made. thanks,

Hi,
I have upgraded my RemoteDesktop from 2012 to 2015 and I can't use my license file on the new one. What can I do for it?
Another issue is that i can't use ssh... when I launch a connection I have the error below:

Thumbnails not working on vrd2009
Hello everyone!
I have an issue with vrd2009 with thumbnails not working , it doesn't display anything.
I m sure you wonder why I m using this old version. The reason is because when in full screen mode I can see the taskbar below with my open applications and I can use them easily instead of minimizing the full screen like in newer versions.
Is there a way to fix it?

Upgrade from 2010 to 2015
We have recently purchased a newer version of VisionApp so are looking to upgrade from the 2010 Version to 2015. Do you have any documentation on how this is done?
I have found a forum post here: http://forum.visionapp.com/showthread.php?tid=9452 detailing we need to upgrade to 2012 first then progress through a 2015 upgrade - I followed the link provided in this forum post and it does not work.
Can you offer a step by step guide?

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe auf unseren Windows 7 PCs bis jetzt das ASG 2012 ohne Probleme eingesetzt. Nun habe ich ASG 2012 auf einem Windows 10 Client installiert. Auf die Windows Server 2008 R2 bekomme ich ohne Probleme Zugriff. Wenn ich mich aber auf einen Server 2012 r2 mit ASG verbinden will bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung:
Der Remote-Computer SRV01 erfordert Network Level Authentication, dieses Feature wird von Ihrem Computer aber nicht unterstützt.
Wenn ich allerdings mit "mstsc" mich auf diesen Server Verbinden will funktioniert das einwandfrei.
Gibt es im ASG hier einen Schalter den ich umstellen muss?
Vielen Dank im Voraus für Hilfe.

Upgrading from 2011 to 2015
Hi,
I was looking at upgrading from RD2011 to RD2015, however it appears I need to use 2012 as a go between as I can't seem to move my config over.
Is there a way to do it that I am missing? If not then where can I get a copy of the 2012 installer please.

How to setup a connection to use a putty session
I am trying to create a new connection that will use a putty session that is allready defined via putty.
The steps i followed are:
1. add new connection
2. update name to be the name of the putty session
3. change protocol to ssh
4. on the ssh/connection options i select the session
5. hit okay
I get a warning that says " Connection Failed: The SSH server Connection was not found. The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found."
Can someone tell me the proper way to add a putty session that is configured in putty to asg-remotedesktop 2015

Cannot switch to Offline Mode
If I clicked to „Switch to Offline Mode”, I got this error message: "Unhandled Exception, An unhandled error occured in the application. You should restart the application to prevent further problems."
Then although I restart the application, next time when I try to go to offline mode I got this error message again.
I am using ASG-RemoteDesktop 2015 (switched from ASG 2012). Exact version is: 8.0.4958.0
Could somebody suggest some resolution?

wir haben letzte Woche erfolgreiche eine Migration der 2012er DB durchgeführt.
Nun ist uns nach einer Woche testing folgende Fehler aufgefallen:
- man öffnet z.B. 3 SSH + 1 VNC + 1 RDP Verbindung und kann dann nicht mehr in den Verbindungsregistern hin und her wechseln, er nach dem schließen des aktuell geöffneten Fensters.
- es gibt vereinzelt fehlende "Anmeldeeistellungen", welche nicht mehr aktiv sind. Sprich man wird nun beim Verbindung öffnen nach Login Daten gefragt, obwohl die Anmeldeeinstellung bei der 2012er gesetzt war.

Installing 2012
Hi
I'm looking to install 2012 into a development environment so I can test the upgrade to 2015.
The database creates just fine, but after installing when clicking "connect" to open the app it returns back to the environment selection screen.
Are there any logs in ASG RD 2012 that I can view to find the problem?

2010 reinstall
I am having trouble re-installing VRD 2010. I installed it on 2 other computers and it worked fine. Now when I install it on my newer PC and another one it refused to take any license. Where is the license file located for 2010? Is it in the appdata roaming? Or do I need to import the registry license? I can't find any good info. Also... If it was purchased for 2010 will 2010 R2 work with the license? It seems to work on one computer but not on others.... Any help? Thanks!![Big Grin]( "Big Grin")

ich habe auf einer WS das Problem, dass ich nicht einmal zum Anmeldebildschirm der SQL DB komme. Zuvor erhalte ich die Fehlermeldung "der User hat nicht die Berechtigung zum Start des Programmes". Das öffnen einer lokalen DB funktioniert einwandfrei.
Wenn ich einen neuen lokalen Account einrichte und diesen im ASG entsprechend berechtige funktioniert es auch. Nur im Workprofil erhalte ich die Probleme.
Gibt es Files oder Keys, welche man löschen kann um eine saubere Config zu erhalten - da mit einem neuen Profil es ja funktioniert.
